Three ponds, stream and large waterfall

This large pond renovation was complicated as they all link via stream and waterfalls. I had to work with what was already existing as the pond previously had been concreted in. This made the renovation awkward and hard to fully seal certain areas of the large waterfall due to a shear drop on the top side. However the final product looks amazing and everything has been sealed as much as possible to reduce water loss. This can be a common problem on waterfalls with large sandstone, however most of the time water loss is so minimal topping up with fresh water is only a little more frequent than a pond without a waterfall system. Doing ponds and waterfalls from scratch won't loose water but pond and waterfall renovations can be difficult trying to fix a problem that can't be solved due to certain situations, sizes and levels of the land and ponds. Even with the complex problems with this project it still works and looks great. Back To List
